So here are a couple of bookish quotes that I quite like and I hope you do too.
NIGHT CIRCUS PAGE COUNT CRACK
At first I couldn’t decide whether to go with quotes I love in general, meaning the list could potentially include ones that crack me up because they’re so hilarious, or whether it should just be ones that are meaningful to me or beautifully written. I don’t usually keep a record of quotes I like from books so I had to do a bit of searching for this topic and the books I’ve read recently definitely were fresher in my memory. Horror! Let’s get the usual out of the way: TTT is a weekly meme that was created by the girls over at The Broke and the Bookish but it’s now run by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl. Look at me, actually doing the set topic on the week it’s scheduled. Tags Book tag, bookish fun, Carry On, fiction, reading, The Gilded Wolves, The Name of the Wind, The Night Circus, The Pancake Book Tag, Throne of Glass, To All the Boys I've Loved Before, YA.Just make sure you eat beforehand! Categories Book Tags I’m going to do my usual no tagging thing but if you love pancakes and feel like giving this tag a go, I strongly recommend it. Give me a breakfast smorgasbord, pretty please. *cries* Speaking of which, are you guys team pancakes or team waffles? I think I prefer pancakes but I absolutely love both. If only more books achieved this.Īnnnnnnndddddd…now I’m dying for pancakes. They’re all so quirky and brilliant, and create this perfect little found family. There’s straight characters, bi characters, curvy characters, skinny characters…ahhhh…it makes my heart do a little happy dance. We’ve got Algerian-French, Indian, Filipino-Spanish, Polish, and Haitian-French covered just in the main cast alone. In fact, they were the best part! And they’re so fabulously diverse. I may have had a few problems with The Gilded Wolves by Roshani Chokshi but the characters were not one of them. What are some reads that were outside of your comfort zone which you really enjoyed? I definitely think I’ll aim to add to this list in the future.

After all, you never know when something will end up being fantastic and open you up to a whole new range of stories.

Over the last year I’ve come to realise how important it is to try different types of books once in while in order to stop yourself ending up in a reading rut or a slump. The characters were engaging, some of the dialogue witty, and who doesn’t like a good slow burn romance? Going in, I was fully prepared not to enjoy it but like other books on this list, it surprised me. I’d seen the mini-series Lost in Austen (it’s fabulous, by the way) and loved it so I thought Pride & Prejudice would be the right choice. Despite being very much aware of this, for some reason, in high school I was curious about Jane Austen and wanted to give her books a go. Either they bore me (I’m somewhat of an impatient person) or frustrate me. As I’ve mentioned repeatedly on my blog, I’m not a classics reader.
